Summer Arm Candy

After spotting some cool bracelets on Michelle Keegan, I wanted to track down some new bling for the summer. I eventually managed to find the exact same company that she got hers from - LizzleTrix. I decided to just order one to begin with, so that I could check the fit for my skinny wrists. I contacted the lovely owner on Twitter and asked her if she could do me a customised name bracelet. She was happy to oblige and my lovely bracelet arrived today.

It cost £5.50 and £1.50 for p&p. I asked for the biggest child's size she could do, and it fits my wrist perfectly.

I think I might go for the dolly mixture one next.

Outfit of the night: Fashion Show

I rarely dress up these days, so seeing as I wasn't wearing a tracksuit last night, I thought I would actually take a picture of my outfit! I wasn't going anywhere fancy, just to a fashion show that my cousin was modelling in.

ootn edit
I got this jersey midi dress from Matalan at Christmas time and I just love how it fits. Super flattering. I teamed it with my old school knee high boots from Oasis. I got these boots about 7 years ago and I absolutely love them. They are battered to death, but they are still going strong!

New Hair - Goodbye long locks!

I have had my hair all different lengths, but the last 4 years I have had it really long. Last week, I was thinking that it had got too long and I thought it might be time for a change. This is not something I take lightly as I absolutely HATE having my hair cut. I never, ever have a good experience and I always come away feeling distraught.

old hair
This is an old picture, but I couldn't find a more recent one. My hair was actually a bit longer than this.

Today, I decided to take the plunge and try a new hairdresser. I asked for 3-4 inches off, but I actually came out with about 6-7 inches off!!! I am still in shock and not quite sure what to think of it!

Do you like it?

Dainty Doll Haul

dainty 1 dainty doll cream blush dainty doll powder b dainty doll concealer lipsticks After hearing that Dainty Doll products were being sold off super cheap, I decided to head over to Frangances Direct and make a big order. The one product I really wanted was the liquid foundation in 002, but unfortunately it was sold out :(

I ended up picking up 2 cream blushers, 3 powder blushers, 1 concealer and 4 lipsticks. The whole order cost me £19.90, which is a complete bargain!!

The prices were the following:

  • Cream blushers - £1.99 each (rrp £13.50)
  • Powder blushers - £1.99 each (rrp £13.50)
  • Concealer - £1.99 (rrp £14.50)
  • Lipsticks - £1.99 each (rrp £12.50)
I am over the moon with everything apart from the lipstick in 001 Couture. It was not that dark on the website and I really don't think it is going to suit me! One dud product is not the end of the world though.

Have you tried any Dainty Doll products?

My Ebay Parka - Love!

I have been searching for a nice lined parka for months, but I could never find one that fitted my child like body, or that wasn't over £80. I turned to my trusted Ebay and came across this fur lined one from Hong Kong. I love buying phone cases etc from Hong Kong, but I haven't had a good experience with their clothes before. They normally arrive and resemble nothing like the Ebay picture!

This parka was only £11.99, so I thought it was worth the risk. Knowing that their sizing always comes up super small, I opted for the 10-12 (I am normally an 8-10 in coats). I then put it to the back of my mind as I knew it would take about a month to arrive. I was shocked to discover that it actually came within 6 days!! I opened the bag half expecting to hate it, but I was pleasantly surprised as it looked exactly like the picture!

It fits like a dream and is super cosy! I cannot believe it was only £11.99!

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub

My lips have been such a mess with this horrible weather we have been having for the last few months. I am not a lush fan, and I have never actually been in a store before....well until now! I popped in last week to pick up one of their lip scrubs as I heard they were good. The bubblegum was the nicest smelling one that my store had. In fact, it's so delicious that I can't wait to lick it off my lips!!

I've been using it for a week now and I really like it. It does really dry out your lips though, so you need a good lip balm to use straight after using it.

It's £5.25, which I do think is overpriced, but I do really like it.

Are there any other Lush products I should try now that I have finally visited a store?

Bye bye dry hands - new hand cream

Yes, this post makes me sound about 80, but I have had really dry hands this month from swimming! I have been using the Soap and Glory Hand Food since Christmas, but I didn't think it was hydrating my hands, so I went in search of something better. I came across this Garnier one on my lunch hour one day. It was half price, so I think that swung it for me. Always a cheapskate!

It turned out to be a good choice as it really does do the job well. My hands have improved greatly after just one week of use. It's non greasy, absorbs super quick and has a non offensive smell. Love!

What's your favourite hand cream?
